New owners, old system

we have purchased a home with a 2GIG GC3 panel and they used to have Verizon and Sprint dueling mobile networks for internet. We now utilize a TMobile internet mobile package for our internet–can we still register this panel with Surety? I already created a new account but the patch we would apparently need to add looks like it is only compatible with Verizon.

What are our options?

Happy to help!

Your personal cellular carrier or internet service provider has no bearing on the alarm panel’s cellular module, they would be separate.

I already created a new account but the patch we would apparently need to add looks like it is only compatible with Verizon.

If your panel’s current cellular module is 3G it would need to be replaced with a 4G LTE module. You can enter your module’s 15-digit number (listed on a sticker on the module) in our module check tool. If the tool states the module is 3G it would need to be replaced.

Based on your listed shipping address, coverage via Verizon or AT&T is available at your location (the modules are only offered via those two carriers). Should the service address be different from your listed shipping address please let us know via Private Message (to keep it off the public forum) and we can confirm that address as well.

The 4G LTE cell sled offered through Surety is on the Verizon network.

Compatibility between the panel and module requires 3.1.3 firmware or later to be installed on the panel. You can find firmware files and patch notes here. Firmware is updated locally via USB Drive.
