The new module came with a new antenna. Am I supposed to use that one. It doesn’t fit into the side of the panel like the previous antenna did. Not sure where it is supposed to go
The ANT1x (the small antenna that came with 2G modules) should not be used with a 3G communication module. You will want to use the antenna that comes with the module.
The newer antenna will not fit in the small side compartments on older 2GIG panels, but it is intended to go inside the wall behind the panel when mounted. It can be slid inside the hole along with your low voltage power.
If you are using a desktop stand, the back-stand’s hollow cavity can be used to house the antenna.
