Hi All.
I have a new Surety 2gig panel that I pulled out of the box and plugged in last night. After almost 24 hrs plugged into the wall it still warns “Console: Low Battery”.
Is this normal? How long should it take to recharge the battery?

You are sure you actually plugged in the battery itself, right?
What is the battery date code?
No… I just plugged the transformer into the wall outlet. Sorry. Seems pretty obvious to me now, but it didn’t occur to me that the battery might not be connected to the MB!
I plugged the battery into the motherboard and no more battery warnings.

Panels ship with the batteries unplugged so that the equipment is off and your battery isn’t being drained. We’ve got a note about it in the welcome email since that’s so easy to forget, but it still is easy to skip. As a reminder to others reading this post, be sure to plug in the battery before the transformer, not after.
