I received an alert that my 2Gig battery was reporting low battery.
It has transformer power. Can I ignore the alert until I can get to the location? Will the alarm continue to function properly?

As long as the battery alert is due to an old battery in need of replacement and not due to an overall power outage, yes, the panel will not be impacted other than limited battery backup.
