Looking to switch to suretyDIY with 2GIG

We are trying to set up a new alarm system. We currently have a 2gig system from Vivant that is no longer being monitored. We have 70 zones/sensors being used on our current system and our house is approx. 5000 sq feet. We would need to replace our current panel and add a few extra sensors and a wireless break glass to our current system and we were wondering which alarm panel you think is the best that you offer for our current layout?

We have majority 2 GIG sensors but also some GE wired sensors from our former alarm system. Also if we purchased our system from you would we need to program our other sensors to the panel we purchased or would you be able to do that?

Thank you

Do you have a 2GIG Go!Control Panel or do you use the Sky Panel?

If the Sky Panel (it sounds like it) you would need to replace, yes.

The GC2 actually supports up to 60 wireless zones on the latest firmware, so if you need up to 70+ zones the GC3 would be the best fit, as it can support up to 100.

Note that zones do not include Z-wave devices, cameras, or other peripherals, etc. They just include alarm sensors.

Wired sensors would be using a Takeover module and could be learned in as is to the GC3.

Sensor programming would need to be done locally on your system. You’ve got a sizeable system, but it is pretty quick to program the zones one by one with everything installed. It is a good idea to learn in Motion Detectors first so they do not interfere with trying to learn in other zones.

You can find common sensor programming instructions here. If you have questions on other sensor types just let us know!
