Issues with Remote Commands and Status

I am starting to experience issues with the remote arming and disarming

I am also pretty sure that the status may be incorrect (it will indicate Armed but my guests let themselves in —they don’t have panel access—and the alarm was not triggered.

When I send a remote disarm command, I used to get a response in short order. Now it just ‘hangs’ and often times out.

I will be up at the location in a few weeks—Is there something I can do (reboot, etc)?

It looks like this is an unresolved issue related to this forum thread. Based on everything that has been discussed so far, we suggest upgrading your firmware.

You will want to upgrade your firmware at the panel. you can find patch notes as well as a link to the most recent GC3 firmware, ver. 3.02, here. Keep in mind, you will need a USB Drive to update the firmware. Instructions can be found below:

  • Download the firmware update file.

  • Save the firmware file to the root directory of a USB flash drive.
Note: The USB flash drive must have only one partition

  • Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port on the top of the GC3 panel.

  • You will see a notice that there is a new firmware to install. Select Update

  • Enter the Installer code or Master code.

  • The GC3 will install the update and restart

Once the firmware is updated, you will want to test your system.
