It would be so nice to Pause audio Alerts so that if others are still sleeping you can disarm and open doors without waking up others

One option to stop disarm sounds from waking individuals would be adjusting nighttime mode:
Its not all the time that I would want to do this. and the times are not regular. So I was hoping for something like an easy way to mute all as needed (not on a schedule).
And I also want to disable the alerts when a door or window open temporarily…
Imagine the father of a house decided to sleep in and the kids and mom want to go outside or in the garage, but dont want the father to be disturbed. How would they disrm the alarm and the garage door alert on an ad hoc basis?
