Hello, I was curious if it’s possibler to use the Stream Video to Panel option with IQ Remotes at this time? I believe everything is configured as it should be, both for the IQ Pro and for my Alarm.com account, but when trying to stream, I get the message “Video device not responding, check power and network connection“. The camera streams fine to the Alarm.com app, so that much is working. Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
Alarm.com documentation does not include instructions for streaming video when using the IQ Pro. It implies that this would not be possible at this time and Alarm.com reps say it is not a supported feature, however I do see that option popping up on the account, which is unusual.
Is your IQ Remote PG connected via PowerG or via wifi?
If the Remote is connected via PowerG this wouldn’t work. On all firmware versions prior to the latest IQ Panel 4 firmware the IQ Remote had to be paired via wifi for this to work. It could not be paired via PowerG and then had wifi enabled as well.
Hey there Jasom, thanks for the prompt reply! They are all connected via Wifi. The Remotes show the screen with the two currently installed camera as displayed, but when I try to initiate the stream, that’s when I get the error message. So either somehow that option shouldn’t be available on the IQ Pro, or something else is going on?
It sounds like streaming video to the IQ Remote on the IQ Pro was intended as a future option on an upcoming IQ Pro firmware version 4.4. That version has not been released yet. I’m told it is not currently possible.
So it looks like ADC showing that option is a mistake and potentially in development. We’ll report it to their engineering team to review.
Thanks for the update. Unfortunate news, but I certainly appreciate your fast assistance!
