No problem. I still consider my configuration a success really. Besides the hassles of setting it up once, it’s up and running and the devices exist in both controllers which was the goal. If you’re looking for native Alexa control, using the SmartThings isn’t a terrible option. I have some really old Z-wave devices, my Trane TZEMT043AB32MAA thermostat is 7 years old! My Schlage BE369 is 6 years old…My guess is that things might work slightly better with z-wave devices that all support newer standards.
One other note here, I upgraded my Qolsys panel software to 1.6.2, I didn’t have much success at all on 1.6.1 so I think this is critical if you want to integrate with SmartThings. I will likely open a ticket with Qolsys to see what they have to say. They really could do more to expose more z-wave network options which might help. For instance I wish there was a “Receive from Primary” option rather than only the "add/remove controller…
