is it possible to adjust the glass break sensitivity for the panel? when USPS slams my doors mail slot it’s causing false alarms. i’ve installed foam tape but it still occasionally triggers.
The panel motion detector has sensitivity settings however the glass break does not. I’m happy to pass feedback to Qolsys.
How far is that mail slot/door from the panel?
it’s mounted to the wall 3-4 feet away but in a small enclosed entryway that is acoustically pretty harsh. given that my doors are mostly glass, i don’t want to lose the function of the glass break detector.
Deadening the sound of the mail slot and any vibration on the door from it is likely the best solution in that case. It’s not likely that sensitivity adjustment at that range is going to be effective anyway.
