To enroll a camera, connect the camera to the local network, then associate the camera with the Alarm.com account.
There are three local options for connecting video devices to the network:
Ethernet,
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) Mode, and
Access Point (AP) Mode.
Some video devices can only be connected using some of those options, so verify which methods are supported before beginning the enrollment process.
Pre-enrollment checklist:
AC power adapter (required for non-PoE connections)
Broadband (Cable, DSL or Fiber Optic) internet connection with a router
A computer or mobile device with internet access
An Ethernet/Cat5 cable (if using an Ethernet-capable camera)
Alarm.com account access through the ADC Website, or ADC mobile app.
WPS Mode
Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS) is a computing standard protocol that allows for the easy set up of secure wireless home networks. It allows devices to be easily added to a secure home wireless network without having to manually enter a password.
Note: WPS can be used any time, even if the camera is still mounted and the customer gets a new router. WPS can always be used to initiate a wireless connection between the camera and the router.
WPS installation steps
Power up the video camera:

APS Mode
AP Mode
Access Point (AP) mode allows for devices to be added to a secure home wireless network by connecting to the camera’s temporary access point using a Wi-Fi enabled device.
AP mode installation steps
Activate AP mode on the camera:
Connect the camera’s AC adapter and plug it into a non-switched outlet. The camera’s LED illuminates red while it is booting up.
Wait for the camera to finish its startup process. This should take approximately 2 minutes for most Alarm.com video cameras.

Ethernet
Some Alarm.com video devices have the ability to use an Ethernet cable for an Internet connection.
Plug an Ethernet cable into the video device and the local router or networking device.
Connect the camera’s AC power adapter and plug it into a non-switched outlet. If the video device is using Power-over-Ethernet, ignore this step.
When the LED is solid green, the wired connection is complete. If the LED is not solid green after a few minutes:
A. Power cycle the camera.
B. Try a different Eth…
Enroll the video device to the Alarm.com account
Once the video device is connected to an internet network, it can be associated to a Alarm.com account using the Alarm.com mobile app or Alarm.com Website.
To enroll the video device using the Alarm.com mobile app installation wizard:
Log into the ADC mobile app.
Tap **Menu
Tap Video .
Tap Settings
Tap Add Video Device .
Tap Install for the desired video device to be installed.
Follow the on-screen prompts for installing the video device.
To enroll the video device using the Alarm.com Website:
Log into the Alarm.com Website.
Click Video .
Click Settings .
Click Add Video Device .
Find the desired video device in the list and enter a name for the video device.
Next to the desired video device, click Install . The video device appears in the list automatically when it is on the same local network as the device performing the installation. If the video device is missing from the list:
Enter the MAC address found on the video device’s label, and then click Find .
Note : For the 2GIG HD100, use its ETH MAC address.
In the device name field, enter a name for the video device.
Click Install .
After the device is successfully installed, the camera settings are configurable using the Alarm.com Website. If the video device needs a Wi-Fi connection but was installed using an Ethernet cable, the video device’s Wi-Fi settings need to be configured through the Video tab.
Power down the video device, and install it in its final location using the included hardware.

SkyBell HD and Slim (VDB101, 102, 105, 105x, 106, and 106x)
Can the SkyBell Doorbell Camera be used without a chime?
Yes. However, the power requirements are different when installing a SkyBell Doorbell Camera without a chime. The SkyBell Doorbell Camera will either require a 10 Ohm 10 Watt resistor with 5% tolerance on the existing AC transformer’s circuit or a DC adapter rated at 12 VDC 0.5–1.0 Amps.
Installing a SkyBell Doorbell Camera without a chime is typically done for testing or demonstration. It is recommended to install the SkyBell Doorbell C…
This guide will walk you through how to pair a SkyBell Slim or SkyBell HD video doorbell to an Alarm.com account. This guide does not cover how to physically install the doorbell and presumes this step has already been done.
The use of the SkyBell Video Doorbell does require video to be enabled on your account.
When using service through Surety, video is included in the Surety Cam/Plus, Protect, and Complete plans. Video levels can be added/increased via the System Manager page of your Surety…
