So I managed to sit on my keys just right and set off the silent panic on my system.
How do I turn this off in the IQ5 panel? I’m using my 345mhz 2gig key fobs.
Monitoring station called me to confirm the alarm while I was on hold trying to call the monitoring station, however they never asked for my password or anything… Then the panel wasn’t showing an alarm, however my alarm.com dashboard showed one active. It’s didn’t clear till I logged into the setting of my IQ5 and then I got a notification it was cleared.
You cannot programmatically disable the panic feature on the keyfob through the IQ Panel 5.
Looks like the keyfob is programmed as Group 3 Mobile Silent, this will be a silent panic and you will only see that an alarm has been triggered through Alarm.com, not at the panel. You can switch that to Group 1 Mobile Intrusion to trigger the alarm and see the alarm state on the panel. You can disable the alarm from the panel or ADC.
The monitoring team is currently investigating why the operator did not ask for a verbal password. I should have some additional information on this shortly.
After further review, the monitoring team determined that changes needed to be made to the instructions for handling panic alarm on our accounts. Those changes have been completed, and operators should always ask for a verbal password when calling on panic alarms.
We’ll be keeping an eye on alarm handling to ensure everything is working as desired, but if you run into any other issues, please let us know.
