GC3 - Low Profile Window Sensor

Loving my GC3 panel. Have door and motion sensors are set up and working. Moving to Window Sensor now, and my wife has stated that she dosen’t want to see bulky sensors on all of our windows. I found the following - https://www.amazon.com/Z-wave-Window-Sensor-rechargeable-battery/dp/B01E0OMQR6/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1476043921&sr=8-11&keywords=window+sensor - from Aeon Labs. They are Zwave sensor, so i am thinking they wont work. Are there something similar that would work? If not, what is the smallest / hidden sensor you can think of that would work?

Thanks
Bob

About as small as I can find. I have 8 of them and they work well for double hung windows.

The Nanomax linked above is probably your best bet, and easy to install.

Will this one work? It says 2GIG compatible. Just want to confirm before I move forward.

I’ve not used that one, but we have used the ION recessed plunger which works with 2GIG.

As long as it is a 2GIG 345mhz signal it should work, yes.

I have about 20 of them connected to my GC3 and never had an issue. They are by far the most “wife friendly” (hidden) sensors I could find.

This are awesome, thanks guys. They are hidden, super easy to install and work like a charm. I would highly suggest these sensors. Now on to the next set of sensors

Nice. Thanks for the follow up.

Would those sensors work on wood casement windows? I tried to search the internet but I wasn’t able to find any results.

I don’t see why not, however they should not be installed on the hinge side.

I don’t think they will. For these sensors, they require the channel that is in the vinyl windows that aren’t there in the wood window casings. I could be wrong, but that is what I read elsewhere.

They are definitely designed for that application. A pocket could be drilled for the antenna, but would need properly sealed.
