Failed TS1 - Need To Replace

We’ve got a GC2 system running for a bit over 5 years. About six months ago our TS1 which was our primary arm/disarm panel stopped responding to touch consistently. We ended up swapping it with the main panel to mainly use it for arming at night in the master since that worked easier only needing to hit a couple spots instead of a full code. The other night the panel backlight would not turn off as if it was registering a press keeping the screen on. At this point it was completely unresponsive to any touch. Powered it off for the night so we could sleep. Now when powered up it just flash the home button red fast, and the + slowly white.

Looks like I can find panels on eBay for about $50-$60 which is much cheaper than $150 new or $600+ to replace both with new Qolsys gear. My main panel is currently at version 1.10 and looks like most TS1’s, that list it, are 1.16. Can Surety do an OTA to the main panel to at least 1.16?

Hi Eric,

Sure we’ll update you to 1.19 firmware. That way you can use TS1’s and your firmware will be ready to upgrade to a 4G LTE module when you’re ready to do that. Please don’t power down or reboot your panel until after the updates complete. It may be a day or two because it has to go through several incremental updates. When it’s done your version will show as 1.19.

Thanks!!
