Am I correct to assume that you can not back up a GC2 and upload the settings into an EDGE unit?

That is correct, a backup from a 2GIG GoControl, GC2e, GC3, or GC3e cannot be pushed to the Edge panel. Programming wise you would be starting from scratch.
Was going to purchase the edge panel to upgrade from my current GC3 panel. Was looking everywhere to confirm if it was a simple upgrade process but seems that it is not. That is really not acceptable on 2gigs part. They should have put in the extra time and programming needed to easily upgrade from one panel to another. Who wants to have to reprogram their whole system, really 2gig?
