New ADC user coming from the dual branded ADT/SmartThings platform. One feature missing coming over is the ability to make HVAC changes using automation. There was an option in ST to shut off the HVAC if the smoke or CO detectors went off. This would be a nice to have.
That option is available for smoke detectors or water detectors with ADC T2000 and T3000 thermostats.
This is actually an option (and the default behavior) for Z-wave thermostats through Alarm.com.
Google Nest thermostats do not support this behavior through Alarm.com, it is possible it won’t be available for Ecobee, but Ecobee integration is brand new and may still see some updates. We’ll push this to ADC as a request, it is certainly a valuable add.
