Yes, delete that cam, factory reset, then re-add. That should take care of it. This appears to be a bug in the application of the setting in the camera.

Done. All went smoothly. I left button pressed to panel unchecked. So, I still hear a panel doorbell chime when someone approaches, but only the mechanical chime if they press the button.
