Door/Window Sensors - Power G vs IQ Mini

Hello,

I have a Qolsys IQ 2+, which I have been using with older 319.5MHz door/window sensors. I’m in the process of upgrading the sensors, and see two options in the Surety store - Power G Door/Window Sensor and IQ Mini Door/Window Sensor.

Both of these indicate the signal is encrypted. The Power G is more expensive than the IQ Mini.

What are the differences between these sensors? Specifically, is there a performance difference that corresponds to the price difference?

Doors/Windows sensors IQ vs PowerG

IQ Mini sensors are S-Line encrypted sensors operating on the 319.5MHz spectrum. They have an operating range of around 600 ft open air. The battery life on this particular sensor is 8 years but varies by use. The PowerG sensors operate at 900 MHz frequency and use 128-bit AES encryption.
