Finally got my system up and running about a week ago and already I’ve got a notification that the motion detector battery is low. Surely this is some sort of error right? I had Simplisafe for nearly 2 years and never replaced the motion battery once, it’s actually still going strong at my sister’s house now.

Batteries on a wireless 2GIG PIR1-345 should last 2+ years depending on usage. This would certainly be an anomaly.
Where is this sensor located? Have you opened to check and make sure there are no obstructions on the battery like bits of plastic wrapping, no corrosion, etc?
Has the motion detector been tested and confirmed otherwise functioning?
I have opened the case and couldn’t see any obstruction. It shows to be operating fine. I’ll test it again tonight and report back. Thanks for the help Jason.
