Is it possible to do a custom power connection with an IQ 4 remote panel? I know the main IQ 4 panel has the connector inside for that, but it appears the remote panel does not. If that’s not an option, could a second main IQ 4 panel be used as a remote panel?
I want to power mine in a wall mount. It looks like I’ll need to splice the power barrel adapter plug on to the existing remote wiring and then connect the panel end to the IQ4 Remote Panel’s transformer.

Yes, this is what you would need to do.

To be clear, you must use the included plug in power supply. Using an incorrect power source will damage the device.
There can only be one IQ Panel 4 in one system. The IQ Remote would be needed as the secondary keypad. You can splice the barrel connector onto existing cable to lengthen it. Qolsys recommends 18AWG cable, so if you have thinner gauge you can double up conductors on + and - for an effectively thicker cable.
