Can you power an ADC-V723 outdoor camera via an outdoor outlet?

I’m trying to avoid drilling into the house, so I was considering mounting an ADC-V723 on the underside of a second floor deck and running the power cord up and connected to an outdoor outlet on the deck?

Can the power cord for the ADC-V723 be left exposed to the elements, like a Nest Cam Outdoor can?

You wouldn’t have an issue delivering power, no. You could plug it into any outlet, but depending where that outlet is it is not the most secure setup. Ideally someone shouldn’t be able to access the power supply to the camera easily.
