Alarm.com has released a couple updates to resolve this issue.
- The wording has been reverted back to what it was originally, “CANCEL ALARM” and “VERIFY ALARM” instead of just “CANCEL” and “VERIFY”.
- Alarm.com now shows “DISARM TO CLEAR” during the pending alarm / dialer delay period, if you have one programmed, and doesn’t show the Cancel/Verify buttons until after the dialer delay is passed, ensuring that a verified alarm signal cannot be sent to the monitoring center until after the original alarm signal has been sent.
Thank you for your patience while this issue was addressed. We apologize for the delay but we believe this feature will be less likely to result in a false alarm with these changes.
