Adding QS5210-840 CO2 detector to IQ Panel 4

Hello

What are the instructions to correctly add the QS521-840 to the IQ 4 Panel. My out of date CO2 detectors (same model) state “S-line” as the source when viewing them under devices but when attempting to add the new CO2 detectors that option is not given, only security rf, security rf-319, or power g are provided as options.

Is there a way to have the panel “auto learn” the detector or does the information have to be hand jammed into the panel?

This guide covers some common programming choices for the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 and 2+ alarm panels. Below is the pathway taken at the panel to access sensor programming. We recommend choosing the Auto Learn Sensor feature. [Qolsys-Senosr-Programming] After choosing Auto Learn Sensor, the panel will begin to listen for the sensor’s signal. We do recommend using Auto-Learn and tampering the sensor to typically learn in 319.5 sensors like that one, which should auto-populate the ID and source.

You can delete the old expired CO sensor zones, then auto learn the new ones.

The QS5210-840 does indeed use Security RF-319.5 btw as the source. That would be the source option to select.

Thank you for this information - the system was able to auto-learn after remounting the new detector, selecting the auto-learn option on the panel, and then removing the detector from the mount (tampering) to facilitate the auto-learn process.
