I received the kit today. The first sensor i got out says it has a low battery already?

New sensors have the batteries pre installed by the manufacturer. A plastic tab is placed between the battery and contact point to prevent the battery from powering the sensor until it is ready for use. This tab is removed when being programmed into a panel, although it is possible for some of the tab to remain behind.
You will want to check to see if some of the plastic tab is still inside by opening the sensor. You will also want to remove the batteries and re-seat them following the +/- indicators. Any change?
